In 2000, a visionary craftsman began his journey in the heart of Ivory Coast, creating personalized gadgets and leather accessories for discerning individuals. What started as bespoke craftsmanship took a transformative turn when a client commissioned a series of personalized leather handbags featuring modern silhouettes with authentic African touches.

This pivotal moment sparked the birth of SANKO - an Ivoiro-Burkinabé luxury leather brand that would redefine African craftsmanship on the global stage.

For over two decades, SANKO has drawn inspiration from the rich textile heritage of West Africa, masterfully incorporating traditional prints like indigo, bogolan, batik, and pagne baoulé into contemporary leather designs. Unlike other designers who rely on imports, SANKO maintains complete control over quality through its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, equipped with precision machinery that rivals European luxury standards.
